Challenge
CoStar’s core platform was architected for large-screen, data-dense workflows. Analysts increasingly relied on mobile in the field, but the existing system lacked scalable patterns to support mobile-first use.

The challenge: transform a desktop-first ecosystem without disrupting existing mental models or technical constraints.

  • Led UX audit identifying inconsistencies and accessibility issues

  • Defined breakpoints, mobile-first structures, and component behaviors

  • Partnered with engineering for scalable implementation across codebases

  • Built Figma documentation and governance to support adoption
